The TFT LCD Mega Expansion Shield V2.2 for Arduino MEGA allows for direct connection of LCD shields ranging from 3.2" to 5" to the Arduino Mega board. The shield supports 16-bit mode and the Arduino Mega board has enough pins to use both the SD card and touch functions simultaneously. The TFT01 LCD works with 3.3V and cannot be used directly on top of the Arduino motherboard. To make it compatible with the Arduino board, the TFT Shield was designed to allow for direct connection to the Arduino board with the TFT01 LCD module. The TFT01 LCD now supports 16-bit mode, elimiN/Ating issues that were previously encountered when using the SD card or touchscreen interface with the Arduino Mega256.
