The LM13700 series is built around two transconductance amplifiers with adjustable control over six decades of current. These amplifiers are equipped with differential inputs and a push-pull output configuration. To maintain excellent linearity in gm control, linearizing diodes are integrated at the input, which helps reduce distortion and accommodate higher input levels. The LM13700 amplifiers, although sharing common supplies, operate independently. Moreover, high-impedance buffers are in place to complement the dynamic range of the amplifiers.
Features:
The LM13700 series comprises two current-controlled, adjustable transconductance amplifiers.
Each amplifier has differential inputs and a push-pull output.
Excellent linearity in gm (transconductance) control.
Matching between amplifiers is exceptional.
Linearizing diodes are integrated at the input for distortion reduction and to allow higher input levels.
High-output signal-to-noise ratio, with a 10dB improvement referenced to 0.5 percent THD.
High impedance buffers provided for improved performance.
Input bias currents of the output buffers are independent of IABC, enhancing performance.
Applications:
Current-controlled amplifiers
Impedance-controlled applications
Filters with current control
Oscillators with current control
Multiplexers
Timers
Sample-and-Hold circuits
